The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, V. M. Lytvyn has taken part in the opening of the Charity Books Fair-Exhibition for children "A Present from Saint Nicolas"ю
"When observing this exhibition, mostly of literature for children one may see that the possibilities of Ukrainian books printing are almost non-restricted, - V. Lytvyn stated. The most important is that there are devotees who create this great deal".
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deems that such occasion should attract the attention of the society, officials, politicians and deputies to the needs of Ukrainian book publishing. "The National books lack support" and that is why "everything possible should be done in order not to lose or morality and spirituality". The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada assured that the Parliament would support all the initiatives on the legislative level.
"I am convinced that it is not possible to economize on this sphere, because it is not possible to spare here a lot, but easy to lost everything", - V. Lytvyn Declared.
"The most important is an opportunity to show charity to the children and support those who needs it more that anyone else, orphan children, let them feel that they live in one and big Ukrainian Family"
It is supposed that books, sold during the exhibition will be given to the school boarding house of Kaniv and Smila. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has also taken part in the charity performance.
